Ham Radio

As a licensed amateur since 1986 and with the callsign G0OZS since I passed the Morse test in 1991, I have owned a huge range of sets and had the opportunity to use others at special events, contests and clubs. The following have been my main commercial radios over the years.

  • Kenwood TS-680
  • Yaesu FT-290
  • Yaesu FT-767
  • Heathkit SB-200 linear
  • Yaesu FT-897
  • Kenwood TH-D7
  • Kenwood TM-D700
  • Kenwood TM-D710
  • Codan NGT-VR with 9830 tuner

I am a member of the following clubs and amateur radio organisations

and in times past the Ipswich Radio Club and Suffolk Data Group.

My interests within Amateur Radio are construction, vintage and military sets, data communication and (in my youth) field days. I am an occasional contributor to Suffolk RED and have been a GB2RS news reader for East Suffolk since 1991.
